On July 5, 2025, Riccardo, 32 years old, a State Police officer, had a very serious motorcycle accident. After a medically induced coma, a long rehabilitation process awaits him, with uncertain outcomes. His condition remains very serious to this day. His partner, 27 years old, is in her seventh month of pregnancy: in two months, Riccardo will become a father for the first time. Unfortunately, he had not yet had time to tell many friends and loved ones.
Riccardo has always put others before himself: for ten years he cared for his mother, who later passed away due to a terrible illness; meanwhile, he joined the State Police as a life choice and out of a sense of service to the community. His work has always been recognized as exemplary and praised. Today, he is the one who needs us.
The funds raised are intended to cover expenses for intensive rehabilitation and specialized therapies; appropriate aids and equipment to maintain mobility at home and outdoors; home healthcare assistance; medical transportation and related logistical expenses. The Fund may also contribute to the costs of one or more surgical procedures (e.g., on the brachial plexus), including at centers of excellence abroad, or enable Riccardo to access cutting-edge techniques for the treatment of brain injuries sustained. Given the imminent birth of his first child, the Fund may support essential and documented expenses for the newborn, as well as unforeseen but related expenses arising from the disadvantaged situation.
