Besta Research Association for Innovative Neuroscience
The Brain Fund was established to support study and research activities in the field of Innovation in Neurosciences promoted by the Besta Institute of Milan.
The Brain Fund has the following objectives:
1. The study of causes, prevention efforts, and therapies for neurological diseases, including through direct or third-party exercise of research in the biomedical and healthcare fields;
2. Technological innovation and operations dedicated to the care and physical and psychological rehabilitation of people affected by neurological diseases, including through the donation of material goods both to the aforementioned individuals and to the Institute or any other entity with these objectives;
3. The training and professional development of personnel dedicated, even indirectly, to medical and paramedical care and the rehabilitation of people affected by neurological diseases;
4. The promotion and organization of seminars, training courses, events, conferences, meetings, proceeding with the publication of related proceedings or documents, and all initiatives suitable to foster organic contact between the Institute, operators and national and international organizations, their staff, and the public;
5. The collection of funds to be allocated to the achievement of the objectives outlined in the previous points.
The Fund owes its creation to the Scientific Directorate, the Directorate of the Department of Neurosurgery, and the Directorate SC Neurology 1 of the Besta Institute of Milan, represented by Prof. Giuseppe Lauria Pinter, Prof. Francesco Di Meco, and Prof. Roberto Eleopra.
