Fondazione Italia per il Dono (F.I.Do) is a philanthropic foundation that supports individuals, organisations and companies who want to give in a thoughtful, consistent and transparent way, without the need to set up their own foundation.
F.I.Do is the only national philanthropic intermediary in Italy that can work without territorial limits. Upon request, it provides donors with the documentation needed for tax purposes (fiscally efficient for donors who pay taxes in Italy) and carefully monitors the use of donated funds, ensuring clarity, accountability and respect for donors’ wishes.

Donate to funds or projects
Through this platform, you can choose to support a specific project, with clear objectives and a defined use of funds, or a fund, created to pursue a broader social goal over time. With this second option, fund promoters are given the opportunity to identify at a later stage, also based on the actual amount of donations collected, the initiative or initiatives that, in line with the fund’s purposes, they consider most appropriate to implement. In practical terms, when funding a project, donors know in advance how their contribution will be specifically used. When contributing to a fund, instead, donors are aware of the fund’s purpose, but not yet of the specific initiative through which that purpose will be achieved. This approach requires a higher level of trust in the fund promoters; however, by granting them greater flexibility, it may ultimately result in a greater impact.
In both cases, F.I.Do guarantees that donations are used exactly as intended.
